Our Build team is brings expertise from previous roles in business, product, engineering and machine learning. Together, we have over 20 years of experience working in education, and have worked at leading companies and institutions including Coursera, Google, Robinhood, Meta, Teach for America, Stanford, Snowflake, Palantir and more.

About the role
- Overall you will…
- Design amazing products for the generation of education experiences, including design and UX around cutting-edge AI-powered tools.
- Help drive the direction, identify the most important problems to tackle, and take ownership of delivering product experiences that are intuitive and deliver exceptional value to our customers (and give them superpowers!)
- Own significant core product experiences, including many powered by AI, through a high level of craftsmanship, execution, and strong design systems.
- Specifically you will…
- Work next to Product Managers, Engineers, Customer Success Managers and sales team members to gather requirements and insights that will lead to products that delight our students, instructors, and partners.
- Develop concepts for new features and improvements that continue to innovate and iterate on product.
- Create flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals for your features to gather feedback and test ideas (we use Figma and Miro).
- Work hand-in-hand with developers throughout the implementation process, offering design support and ensuring fidelity to the original design to ensure high-quality implementation.
- Land after launching — ensure our learnings from past projects are brought along to future ones.
- Contribute to the brand and identify of the company going forward.
Requirements
- You have 4+ years designing interactive applications.
- You have excellent visual, UI, and interaction skills. Your design portfolio demonstrates a human-centered approach to design and an eye for detail.
- You are comfortable in every stage of the design process from research, discovery and ideation, to build and implementation.
- You can see the big picture and details together — given a complex problem you can see the broader picture but can break it into smaller pieces. You anticipate multiple future use cases and edge cases, and design a product that will work well for those states — not just the happy path.
- You can communicate effectively with customers, technical teams, and management. Your written and verbal communication is clear and concise.
- Bonus:
- You have frontend engineering/CSS experience with ability to implement or tweak designs in projects in some capacity.
- You have experience building out design systems.
